The pleasure is the gourmet kaiseki cuisine, which is popular for its tranquility and innovative ideas.

Tsutsujitei is surrounded by a 10,000m2 garden with a natural forest. There are six guest rooms in the main building, "Sakkon no wing," and four in the annex, "Ukkon no wing." These 10 rooms create a relaxing atmosphere amid the seasons and the abundant activities of the surrounding nature. The relaxing environment and the attentive hospitality that only a small inn can provide are the essence of the inn, and its guests return month after month, year after year.
The main building will reopen in April 2023, and hot springs can now be enjoyed in all 10 rooms. The highly acidic Bandaiko spring water fills the open-air baths in the guest rooms. Even if you rinse thoroughly, you will likely feel the difference on your skin after two or three days. The first floor is also a refreshing and pleasant space.

Himekatayu's indoor bath. Both the men's and women's indoor baths are made of granite. There is also a sauna. The skin care amenities are also highly rated.

There are two styles of stay to choose from. If you choose the main building, you can use the "Yubata Onsen" hot spring, which is full of sulfuric aroma, in a private bath full of atmosphere (fee required). This is recommended for those who want to enjoy two hot springs. Meals are served in the private room restaurant "Hana Kairo."
If you choose a detached house, you can have the hot spring all to yourself in the indoor open-air bath. Two rooms each have the "Bandaiko Onsen" and "Yubata Onsen" sources. Meals are "in-room dining" so you can enjoy without hesitation. For families or groups of six, there is also a detached house with a dining table and fireplace.

The spacious adjacent space also includes a sunroom with a view of the garden.

What delights repeat customers is the authentic seasonal kaiseki cuisine that is embodied in the heart of each and every guest.

The cuisine is delicious, prepared with all the effort of the head chef, who inherits the inn's culinary tradition. You can enjoy authentic kaiseki cuisine, which changes monthly. The dishes, which are innovatively designed to combine Japanese flavors with a Western twist or traditional cuisine in a modern style, will never tire of you, from appetizers to desserts. The serving is also exquisite. The spirit of the restaurant is embodied in each and every dish. This is the kind of hospitality that can only be found at a traditional Japanese Ryoteiryokan. Why not enjoy the champagne given to you by the landlady upon arrival?

The large public bath is "Urara no Yu" and is fed directly from the Bandaiko hot spring. The open-air cypress bath is perfect for a sense of openness. All you can hear is the sound of the water spilling out. I hear that deer even appear in the garden. After your bath, you can relax in the lounge with the warmth of the fireplace or in the tranquil garden. The atmosphere is especially beautiful and memorable when the azaleas are in full bloom.
