The Surikami River flows through a deep valley. Yosikawaya, located by the clear waters of the river, has been a link in time since the Edo period (1836). This long-established inn, also known as the "Kamurami Legend," is said to be home to a river goddess, and promises an exceptionally relaxing stay that meets the modern trend for comfort and fine cuisine.
The private hot spring source, which has been protected by generations since the hotel first opened, is a weakly alkaline simple spring that springs up from 30 meters underground. The spring quality is such that anyone can enjoy it with peace of mind. The best part is the two open-air baths with spectacular views, where the cliffs of Mt. Katakura on the opposite bank loom. The rustic rock bath "Saruami no Yu" and the unexplored atmosphere of the spring water free-flowing "Kamoshika no Yu" are overwhelming. The seasonal colors, the sounds of the valley, the murmuring of the stream... everything you see and hear is overwhelming. The sense of openness is also excellent. The indoor baths are "Tota no Yu" and "Benten no Yu", which has a stone and cypress bathtub. The baths are the largest in Fukushima Prefecture. The four baths are on a rotation system, but we also recommend the private bath "Yuno" which you can enjoy privately. There are no steps between the indoor baths and the open-air bath with free-flowing spring water. It is a space where you can relax and feel at ease, blending into nature.

Yosikawaya Private Bath

Private bath "Yuno". There are no steps between the indoor bath and the open-air bath, so you can move between them while sitting. There is also a toilet and an emergency call button. YUNO is the Greek goddess of marriage and childbirth.

Yosikawaya Japanese modern guest room

Ryounkaku Modern Japanese Twin Room. A bedroom that blends Japanese and Nordic tastes.

Modern barrier-free room Gourmet food by our chef, recognized by professionals

Popular guest rooms include those with an open-air bath with natural hot spring water at Kounkaku, those with an open-air bath at Ryounkaku, and Japanese-style bedrooms. The newly created "Japanese Modern Twin Room" at Ryounkaku is close to the elevator, making it a barrier-free space where wheelchair users and the elderly can stay with peace of mind. Guests can relax in the Simmons beds that invite a good night's sleep or in the chairs by the window while gazing at the clear mountain scenery.

Expect artisanal cuisine that even professionals praise. Enjoy colorful seasonal dishes made with ingredients from Tohoku and Fukushima carefully selected by the chef at the private dining room "Seseragi no Mori Dining Touka" overlooking the Surikami River, or the Japanese-style restaurant "Matsukaze" with a panoramic view of the beautiful valley. You can also try the inn's signature dishes, such as "Japanese Black Beef Ceramic Plate Grill" served with the chef's special dipping sauce, and "Goddess' Beautiful Skin Soup" made with collagen-rich soft-shelled turtle and shark fin. It's also nice that the food is brought out at the most delicious time.

The building also features new facilities for parent-child interaction, such as a kids' space where bouldering can be enjoyed, a book lounge with 4,000 manga books, and a Peach Shrine dedicated to the sacred peach tree, a fruit found only in the fruit kingdom of Fukushima. There is also a convention hall that can hold meetings for up to 400 people for groups and companies. The staff are always attentive, considerate, and caring, making for a comfortable holiday for the modern goddesses.

Yosikawaya Kids Space

"Asobiba" is a kids' space. It is the largest bouldering facility in a ryokan, measuring 5m wide and 3m high.

Yosikawaya Momo Shrine

"Momo Shrine." If you visit, your luck will improve.
