Shuhoukaku Kogetsu offers a spectacular view of the symmetrical Mt. Fuji. Located on the north shore of Lake Kawaguchi, it is built on the lakeside with no obstructions such as roads or power lines, and has been praised for its guest rooms, facilities, and hospitality that make the most of its location with a great view.
The first thing that grabs your attention upon arrival is the Mt. Fuji View Footbath Terrace Suigetsu, which was created on March 4, 2023 after the garden terrace was renovated. The view of the World Heritage site of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi spreads across the entire opening. Mt. Fuji looms in beautiful symmetry. An upside-down Mt. Fuji also ripples in the water basin. It's a spectacular view that will delight everyone. The footbath is filled with Kawaguchiko Onsen. It's a comfortable space that makes you want to soak and gaze out for as long as you like. The lounge also offers free food and drink service from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm, including soft drinks, beer, and Yamanashi specialty wines. It's the perfect service for a chat after a bath.
The view of Mount Fuji from the men's open-air bath "Black Fuji" is more beautiful than anything else.
A special room with an open-air bath (hot spring) on the second floor. An ultra-luxurious room with a 10-tatami Japanese-style room, a twin bedroom, a 22-tatami living room, a dining room, an open-air bath, a foot bath, and a balcony.
The newly created "Fuji View Open Air Bath (Hot Spring) Japanese Modern Triple" is a luxurious space of 55㎡ that can be enjoyed by three people.
All guest rooms have a view of Mt. Fuji. We recommend the rooms on the third floor with an open-air hot spring bath, which can be chosen from four types, including a twin room with a spectacular view from the corner terrace and a stylish Japanese-modern triple room. Some rooms have been stripped of tatami mats and are equipped with beds and dining tables where you can enjoy in-room dining. On the second floor, there are three types of rooms with foot baths, from which you can view Mt. Fuji, either on the balcony or on the wooden deck. There is also a space where you can enjoy a mist sauna.
Enjoy the spectacular view and the pleasure of natural hot spring water, as well as cuisine featuring Koshu ingredients and seasonal themes.
The view of Mt. Fuji from the open-air baths, which are fed by natural hot spring water, is also very appealing. The large public baths for men and women have a magnificent view of Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji in front of them. You may be able to see the black or red Mt. Fuji, which can only be seen under certain conditions.
Dinner is a kaiseki course meal created by the head chef using carefully selected fresh seasonal ingredients. The menu changes eight times a year with a different theme, such as budding new greenery, cool breezes across the lake, blazing autumn leaves, and snow-capped Mt. Fuji. The shabu-shabu served at Daimono features rare wine pork, a specialty of Yamanashi Prefecture. The rich, full-bodied flavor is sure to please anyone. Breakfast is a well-balanced buffet of Japanese and Western cuisine. As you'd expect in a fruit kingdom, the fruit is also exceptionally tasty.
Whenever you come, you'll be greeted by a spectacular view of Mount Fuji that can only be found here.
