Located on the plateau of Utsukushigahara Onsen, Shoho offers a view of the Northern Alps from all guest rooms in the East, Central and West buildings. The theme of the hotel is spending time gazing at the unobstructed, spectacular views. Shubi is a new guest room in the Central building where you can enjoy the natural hot springs as well as views of Matsumoto Castle Town and the Northern Alps. The Japanese-Western room with open-air hot spring bath and living room is a wide 70m2 space where you can enjoy the view from the hot spring bath, the sofa by the window or from the bed. Combined with the modern Japanese atmosphere and facilities backed by a comfortable philosophy, this hotel offers the ultimate stay. The rooms with open-air hot spring view baths come in different types, including the VIP room and premium Japanese room with living room on the top floor of the East building, and the twin, triple and Japanese room on the top floor of the West building, and each one is very popular.
The VIP room on the top floor is 113㎡ and includes a Japanese-style room, a reception room, a Western-style room, and a cypress hot spring bath with a panoramic view.
The "Open-air bath with a view" and "Indoor bath with a view" boast a great location, and are the new baths that Shoho of. The open-air bath with a view is a semi-open-air bath that allows you to feel the outside air. The indoor bath is equipped with a silk bath with ultra-fine bubbles and a carbonated bath. The scenery of the castle town as the lights begin to twinkle at dusk and the refreshing early morning when the mountain ridges turn crimson red... You will never tire of gazing at the dramatic view. The building also has a large public bath that is one of the largest in Shinshu, an open-air bath, and three types of private baths, making it a perfect "7-location hot spring tour" for hot spring lovers. We also recommend the foot bath with a panoramic view of the Northern Alps.
The dining space, which has been developed with the theme of "Delicious Travel", is "Shunsai Dining Shinshu", a dining space with an open kitchen where you can fully enjoy the taste of Shinshu, and "Kamikochi", a private room restaurant where you can enjoy food and conversation. Even in Shinshu, which is blessed with nature and an abundance of seasonal ingredients and brand-name ingredients, Shoho is particular about quality and visits contracted farms and livestock farms to provide dishes made with carefully selected, safe ingredients.
"Shinshu" is a seasonal dining restaurant where you can enjoy freshly cooked dishes from the open kitchen.
In a comfortable dining space where you can enjoy your meal without any worries, you can enjoy a safe and creative Japanese kaiseki meal, piping hot and freshly cooked food... It is bliss itself, and the feeling of satisfaction is unmatched. For breakfast, the fluffy omelettes made with vegetables picked that morning and local eggs, and the "Shoho Nokkedon" (a bowl of rice topped with as much of your favorite ingredients as you like) are also popular. You can enjoy a luxurious breakfast.
At Shoho, you can enjoy the spectacular views of the Northern Alps, ancient hot springs, and delicious food. What is promised is a "special moment of relaxation."
Shoho is proud of its "Specially Selected Wagyu Beef Kaiseki" course (image) where you can enjoy Shinshu beef that has been raised on apples.
