Founded in 1929 (Showa 4), Kinzan , with its beautiful sukiya-style architecture, is a high-class Ryoteiryokan that represents Arima Onsen . In addition to the charm of Arima, which is full of atmosphere, the inn boasts kaiseki cuisine that makes use of seasonal ingredients, the famous Arima hot springs of gold and silver, and attentive hospitality.

The East Wing's new standard guest room is a genuine Japanese-style room, the "Ginsen Semi-open-air Bath Special Room."

Since its founding, Kinzan has placed emphasis on its cuisine, carefully selecting the best quality ingredients of the day and using only fresh, seasonal ingredients. Moreover, to ensure that customers can enjoy their food at its best, cooking begins according to mealtimes, and care is taken to ensure that customers can enjoy each and every dish fresh. Furthermore, with the motto of "quality over quantity," for example, seafood from the Seto Inland Sea, specially selected Japanese black beef, and seasonal ingredients delivered directly from the source are not served individually, but rather the restaurant pays attention to the overall balance so that customers can enjoy the food as a whole.

Kinzan Cuisine Breakfast (Japanese)

Breakfast is a Japanese set menu with 14 Ryoteiryokan.

For guests staying multiple nights or those who visit multiple times a month, we never serve the same dish unless they request it, and we put effort into creating new dishes so that each visit is always a new experience. We also cater to each individual guest, even if there is an ingredient they don't like.
Breakfast is a Japanese set Ryoteiryokan with 14 dishes that you can only get at a traditional Japanese inn. You can choose between white rice or three types of porridge, three types of grilled fish, and three different egg dishes. You can also change to a Western breakfast.
Kinzan also insists on serving dinner and breakfast in guests' rooms, with the exception of some plans, as a basic principle in maintaining Japan's traditional lodging culture of ryokans. Each and every dish is carefully delivered to guests' rooms by a dedicated waitress, with hot dishes remaining hot and cold dishes remaining cold. In December 2020, the fully private restaurant Hanakaito, which has taken measures to prevent infection, was reopened, offering freshly prepared dishes one by one from an adjacent private kitchen. We highly recommend it to guests who want to enjoy food at its best.

Our "new standard guest rooms" provide thorough infection control measures to ensure a safe and comfortable stay.

In order to ensure that the hotel is always clean during the time that guests spend there, Kinzan basically closes the hotel for two days each week for repairs and thorough cleaning. In November 2022, 13 rooms were reopened as "Guest rooms with Ginsen open-air baths," including one VIP room of approximately 200 m2 and 12 special rooms of approximately 63 m2 to 120 m2, making it possible to stay safely even in the COVID-19 era. The definition of the new standard rooms at Kinzan is as follows:

1. High-performance heat exchange ventilation equipment will be installed to ensure reliable ventilation throughout the entire passenger compartment.

2. Non-contact automatic doors will be installed at the entrance door and guest room toilet doors to create an even cleaner environment.

3. Changing rooms and toilets will be separate, yet provide a unified and comfortable dry area.

4. Each guest room will have its own private hot spring (ginsen) bath, which will be a semi-open-air bath that can be opened or closed depending on the outside temperature.

5 The property will consist of three rooms: a Japanese-style room with in-room dining, a bedroom with a bed, and a spacious living room.

6. Create a working space where you can work while enjoying your leisure time.

Kinzan's management philosophy is "always take on new challenges proactively." They value each and every customer, and through traditional Japanese hospitality techniques, they promise to provide "peace of mind," "comfort," and "high satisfaction," while also contributing to the local community and business partners. Their hospitality in food and new standard guest rooms are a reflection of their ambition.
Kinzan is the only inn in Hyogo Prefecture to be certified as one star by the Michelin Guide, and is also highly acclaimed as a "five-roofed inn" that represents a luxurious and comfortable inn of the highest quality. The title is not unrelated to this management philosophy. It is also worth noting that, in order to allow adults to enjoy a quiet and relaxing time, they do not allow children of elementary school age or younger (including infants and toddlers) to enter the inn, except during spring, summer, and winter holidays, as well as during certain other periods.
One of Kinzan's great attractions is that you can enjoy two different baths, Ginsen and Kinsen, during your stay. In the open-air baths and indoor baths of the large public baths "Tsuzumi-no-yu" and "Hana-no-yu," you can fully enjoy the brownish gold spring water that is representative of Arima Onsen. The large public bath also has a sauna, and an ergonomically designed, easy-to-use washing area is also provided.
The hotel is equipped with various facilities and banquet halls to create an adult atmosphere, such as the piano bar "Four Seasons," karaoke "Mondor," and esthetic rooms. Kinzan pays attention to every detail and puts himself in the guest's shoes to create and propose high-quality relaxation. His tireless efforts create the ultimate experience.
