Also attracting attention are the rooms with panoramic saunas and hot spring panoramic baths, which are the first of their kind in Jozankei.
Jozankei Onsen is a popular Jozankei Onsen located just 30km from central Sapporo, yet is surrounded by overwhelming natural beauty. Jozankei Manseikaku Hotel Milione, famous as the inner sanctum of Sapporo, offers a variety of ways to enjoy the area, taking advantage of the region's bounty in every aspect, from its facilities to its hospitality.
The group of facilities that opened in October 2021 promises an extraordinary stay overlooking the mountains of Jozankei. The most popular are the two "Western-style rooms with observation saunas," the first in the Jozankei area, located on the 13th floor 45 meters above ground. You can enjoy a refreshing stay while looking out at the seasonal colors and the Toyohira River valley. The sauna is a Finnish-style self-loyly sauna that does not require you to endure the stuffiness of high temperatures. The 114m2 Western-style room with a "private observation sauna saunoa room" is equipped with a box-shaped flat bench facing Mount Asahi, and the 72m2 Western-style room with a observation sauna is equipped with a two-tiered curved bench that fits the human body. The terrace is equipped with a cold bath and reclining chairs for enjoying outdoor bathing and the view, making it a true "sauna in harmony with the four seasons." 14 "Western-style rooms with hot spring observation baths" with a panoramic view of the valley have also been created on the 11th to 13th floors. It is a spacious 80m2 space that can accommodate up to four people. The hot spring is a sodium chloride spring that is colorless, transparent, and has a mellow taste, and will warm your body from the inside out, even in winter.
"Kuksa" is a private dining area exclusively for guests staying in Western-style rooms with panoramic saunas and Western-style rooms with hot spring panoramic baths.
For guests staying in these "Western-style rooms with panoramic sauna" and "Western-style rooms with hot spring panoramic baths," creative seasonal kaiseki meals are available in the private dining area "Kuksa." The entrance is reminiscent of a teahouse's nijiriguchi (traditional Japanese sash), the interior has a calming wooden design, tableware selected to match the colors of nature and the mountains, and fresh seasonal produce selected from all over Japan... As the restaurant's name suggests, which means "the recipient will be happy" in Scandinavia, you can enjoy a premium moment filled with the hotel's thoughts.
Enjoy the blessings of hot springs in a 450m2 bath space. A creative, homemade gourmet buffet.
The highlight of the experience is the large public bath, "Bisen," which is filled with the bountiful hot spring water that is unique to this hot spring resort, a gift from Jozankei that springs naturally from 56 springs.
The large space of about 450 m2 includes an open-air garden bath, an indoor bath, and a Japanese-style bath, where you can enjoy the seasonal changes of the mountains of Jozankei, such as fresh greenery, deep greenery, autumn leaves, snow-capped trees, and frost-covered trees. You can enjoy the soft water on your skin for as long as time allows. The indoor bath also has a reclining bath that is extremely relaxing. In 2024, the sauna will be renovated into a spacious auto-louver type. The cold bath will also be 1.1m deep and will have two types of vibration type water with different temperatures, allowing you to feel even more at ease.
The highly anticipated cuisine is extremely varied, with a Japanese, Western and Chinese buffet featuring Hokkaido vegetables and seafood as the main course, creative seasonal kaiseki meals, and seasonal set menus that can be enjoyed with drinks at an izakaya. Dinner is a buffet of around 80 homemade dishes from Japanese, Western and Chinese cuisine, including standard dishes. You can enjoy your meal in a restaurant that resembles a colorful market. In the live kitchen, Millione's pride and joy, authentic stone oven-baked pizza and aged beef that has been aged for over 30 days, are also very popular. Breakfast is a buffet with 70 dishes that are just as good as dinner. You can savor homemade Japanese and Western dishes along with freshly made rice balls and freshly baked bread from the bakery.

Dinner buffet at the buffet restaurant (example). Milione's dinner buffet features seasonal limited menus with the theme of "color, food, health, and beauty." There are about 80 different menus that allow you to fully enjoy the flavors of Hokkaido.
Authentic stone oven pizza. The dough is made from carefully selected wheat flour and Levain yeast that is aged in-house, then kneaded with olive oil and left to ferment overnight. The dough is in a perfect condition depending on the temperature and humidity, so the dough is baked in the stone oven at the perfect timing while keeping an eye on how it rises and browns.
On the first floor is the stylish lounge "Birch Terrace - Bakery & Cafe -" filled with the warmth of wood. Why not buy your favorite bread from about 20 kinds baked in the bakery and enjoy it with a fragrant coffee? On the terrace, you can enjoy a comfortable time with your feet floating in the soft hot spring water.
The hotel also offers a wide range of facilities, including an izakaya that serves fresh seafood, a 20m long indoor pool, and more. This resort in the heart of Sapporo is so full of attractions that you can't enjoy it all in one day.
Birch Terrace Bakery & Cafe is a lounge on the first floor where you can feel at ease with the warmth of the wood and the sunlight streaming in.
Birch Terrace bakes about 20 kinds of bread every day, making crispy croissants that are perfect as souvenirs. They are so popular that even people from the neighborhood come to buy them.
