Located just a 5-minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station, at the entrance to Takidori Street, Kajikaso boasts a great location for both staying and sightseeing.
The guest rooms include the popular Japanese-Western style "Shusuian" room with a free-flowing open-air bath, rooms facing the clear stream Hayakawa River, mountain-facing rooms with seasonal scenery, and city-facing rooms, and in June 2024, a special floor on the 5th floor called "Ikoi" opened. It is a "ryokan within a ryokan," with another ryokan spread out within the ryokan.
The special floor on the 5th floor, "Ikoi," will catch your eye with its original interior design.
Six special rooms in five types have been created on the river side. The "Japanese-Western room with indoor hot spring bath" is the luxurious "Taikan" with an open living room, a hot spring in the guest room, and a spacious Japanese-style room, and "Manyo" with a spectacular view of the Hakone road in all four seasons. Both are sophisticated relaxing spaces equipped with Simmons beds. In addition, two types of "Japanese-Western room with free-flowing open-air bath" have also been created. Among them, "Hiten" is the first guest room at Kajikaso to have a terrace, and offers a spectacular view of the Hakone mountains and Hayakawa River from the open-air bath in the guest room, the bedroom, and the Japanese-style room. "Taikan" and "Hiten" also have all-inclusive minibars.
Also on the town side, a Japanese-Western room with an indoor hot spring bath called "Hishou" has been unveiled. Equipped with an indoor hot spring bath, a relaxing Japanese-style room, sofa, and dining table, it is a relaxing space that can accommodate a wide range of guests. The birth of this extremely comfortable guest room has raised the level of hospitality at Kajikaso to another level.

Guests can enjoy to their heart's content the special banquet prepared by the head chef using carefully selected ingredients from the sea and land to beef, as well as the monthly changing banquet, which uses fresh seafood from Sagami Bay and Suruga Bay, bluefin tuna delivered directly from Misaki Port, domestic black-haired wagyu beef, and more, all in the comfort of their own room. The dishes, which highlight the head chef's masterful skills, are enough to impress even gourmets. Another attraction of Kajikaso is that you can change seats to a modern dining room or a sukiya-style restaurant to enjoy precious time with your loved ones.
This inn has nine hot springs. The famous hot springs that once soothed travelers crossing Hakone are now poured into the large baths for men and women in generous quantities. The men's large bath, "Soun no Yu," is on the second floor. The indoor bath is an impressive 18m wide, and the large bath is large enough to swim in, which is truly luxurious. Adjacent to it is the gazebo-style rock bath, "Kajika no Yu," and the open-air "Utatane no Yu." Bathing while listening to the murmuring of the Hayakawa River is an exceptional experience. On the top, sixth floor, is the women's large bath, "Seiryu no Yu," with its open-air observation baths. "Hoshimi Yoto," with its four types of open-air baths, can be enjoyed side by side, making it easy to have lively conversations. In the barrel-shaped bath, "Hanamino no Yu," you can enjoy the scent of cypress and the mountain scenery while soaking in the water. The stone-built "Tsukimi no Yu" is full of rustic charm. Including the glass-walled indoor bath, the baths offer a princess-like experience. The abundant amount of hot water, the spaciousness of the bath space, and the variety of bathtubs are all examples of hospitality that can only be found at Kajikaso.
