Enjoy the spectacular ocean view from the resort. The dramatic sunset will take your breath away.
An ocean view room that will give you a luxurious feeling.
As described in the introduction, "59m above sea level. A resort with a spectacular view from a bird's-eye view," New Ginsui overlooks the endless ocean and the unique coastal beauty of Dogashima Island in Nishiizu from a high vantage point. The greatest attraction is that you can enjoy the spectacular ocean view from anywhere in the hotel, including the guest rooms, large public bath, lounge, and dining venue.
One thing to look forward to is the sunset, which Nishiizu Town has declared to be the best in Japan. As the sun sets and the sky begins to turn crimson red, a breathtaking drama unfolds between the sun, the sea, and Dogashima. This is a sight that can only be seen at an inn that has been selected as one of the 100 best sunsets in Japan. The most beautiful time is from mid-October to early March, and the grand panorama of the sunset that fills the window frame of the lounge is a must-see.
This beautiful sunset has been selected as one of the 100 best sunsets in Japan. It's a truly moving moment.
All guest rooms are oceanfront. Standard rooms and rooms with antechamber beds are located in the west wing, while upgraded rooms and VIP rooms are located in the south wing. Each room offers a special seat with a magnificent view of the ocean, as if cut out from a masterpiece. The VIP room is limited to one group per day. It is a luxurious space of 130 m2, with two pure Japanese-style rooms, a Western-style room with twin beds, a reception room, and an observation bath with an ocean view.
A luxurious 130㎡ VIP room on the 6th floor of the South Wing. It features a 15-tatami and a 6-tatami Japanese-style room, a Western-style room with twin beds, a reception room and an ocean-view bath.
Another special seat to enjoy the spectacular view of Nishiizu and the sunset is the "Observation Lounge Ondina," a glass-walled lounge facing the sea that is about 40 meters wide and 3 meters high. Coffee, tea, and soft drinks are available from 9:00 to 22:00, and are included in the price of the accommodation. Draft beer is also available from check-in until 17:00.
The hot spring is in the large open-air bath with a view. The open-air bath feels like it is connected to the ocean. You can relax and be healed by the pleasure of the hot spring while enjoying the open feeling of the ocean.
Standard guest rooms in the west wing. The rooms are mainly 10-12 tatami Japanese-style rooms, with Japanese-Western style rooms and an adjoining room. Japanese-style rooms and twin rooms are available.
"Ginsui": Traditional flavors and dishes made with ingredients that go beyond the boundaries of Japanese cuisine, created with the chef's particular attention to detail
Depending on the number of guests staying, dinner can be enjoyed at the Ocean View Dining Ginkage or in a private room for families and groups. The dinner kaiseki course menu features a selection of dishes prepared by the head chef with an emphasis on the four seasons of Izu, such as seafood such as spiny lobster and abalone freshly landed at nearby ports, beef from Shizuoka, and seasonal vegetables. In addition, there are a variety of special dishes to order, including the prefecture's brand beef, Ashitaka beef. The special summer dinner buffet, which started last year for a limited time only in the summer and offers about 80 different dishes, has also been very popular.
For breakfast, Ginkage offers a buffet with around 50 different items. Popular items include freshly baked croissants, a rice bowl of sashimi marinated in soy sauce served on freshly cooked rice, and "Mago Chazuke," which is eaten with hot dashi broth. They also offer many dishes that make use of local ingredients, such as onigiri rice balls made with the chef's special Toda salt, soft serve ice cream made with Tanna milk, and Mishima croquettes.
"Mago chazuke," which is eaten by pouring hot soup stock over it, is very popular.
The hotel also has a paradise-like facility that combines Japanese and Western styles, including an esthetic salon and an oriental-style massage parlor. Below the hotel is the cove-like Tsubasawa Beach. The water is crystal clear and perfect for playing with children. By the time you return home, your mind and body are sure to feel refreshed.
