Located in Inatori Onsen Hamanoyu, which juts out into the sea like a peninsula, Hama-no-Yu offers an unobstructed panoramic view of the ocean. You can enjoy this spectacular view along with a soothing hot spring at Sky Fontaine, located on the top 8th floor rooftop. It is a large, relaxing space with 16 bathtubs spread across the entire floor. The large baths are the 23m-long Boyo Dai Rotenburo and Manten Daiyoku. Each bath is equipped with a Tembo bath (indoor bath), a large open-air bath, a standing bath, a reclining bath, a stone bath, and a sauna, and can be enjoyed by men and women in shifts. Manten Daiyoku also has a cave bath and a cypress bath.
The "Boyou Dai Open-Air Bath" is what fascinates everyone who visits. Not only can you enjoy a 270-degree ocean view, but when you soak in the bath, it is an infinity open-air bath that appears to be connected to the sea, giving you the illusion of floating on the sea. You can enjoy an extraordinary moment gazing at the ocean shining in the light during the day, and at night, soaking in the illuminated bathtub, gazing at the twinkling stars in the sky and shooting stars with their trails.
The moonrise is a moving sight. Especially on full moon nights, as the moon rises, a long strip of light appears on the surface of the ocean. This is the moon road. Its fantastic beauty will leave you speechless. In the early morning, you can also see the sunrise rising from the horizon, a sight unique to the east coast of Izu. The charm of Hamanoyu-yu is that you can encounter many moving moments.
Sky Fontaine also features a paid private terrace called Sky Terrace & Spa El Dange, as well as a 110m² private bath suite private spa, providing an extra-private and elegant bath experience.

"If you want to enjoy seafood, Hamanoyu to go. I'll definitely come back."
Hamanoyu has maintained a management policy of focusing on cuisine, as it has bidding rights at Inatori Fishing Port. The famous "Funamori Morning Plate" has been a big hit since it was first offered, and word of mouth has led to an increase in repeat customers. "If you want to enjoy fish dishes, Hamanoyu to go. I'll come back to eat." The boat-shaped plate has now become synonymous with Hamanoyu.
The popular "Boiled Alfonsino" is a 100% replica of the simmered dish made by Inatori fishermen. The rich, sweet and spicy broth and sauce are the traditional local flavor of Inatori. The Alfonsino is caught using "standing line fishing," a method in which the fish are carefully handled one by one. When the boat arrives at the port for a day trip, it is immediately boxed with ice water and shipped within a short time. This ensures exceptional freshness. In Hamanoyu kitchen, 30 to 50 Alfonsinos are marinaded in a large pot at a time, bringing out the exquisite flavor from the large amount of Alfonsino.
Hamanoyu, as seen in its red snapper, spiny lobster, and abalone
You've come all the way to Izu, so what do you expect when it comes to dining? Hamanoyu believes that seafood, such as red snapper, spiny lobster, and abalone, are the best choices, and they always offer these three items in their standard menu. That's why Hamanoyu does not offer special-order dishes. The dishes are all carefully prepared with the utmost care, and are a well-balanced selection of exquisite dishes, including artisanal dishes and hearty dishes typical of Izu. A symphony of delicacies is brought to your dining table.
Hamanoyu uses spiny lobsters, the king of the sea, caught in the ocean right in front of the Hamanoyu. Taking advantage of the nocturnal habits of spiny lobsters, bottom gill nets called "ebiami" are set around the reefs in the evening before the lobsters become active, and the nets are retrieved and landed early the following morning. Spiny lobsters from the Hamanoyu, you can enjoy specially selected spiny lobster dishes that are good raw, grilled, or boiled.
Hamanoyu signature abalone dish is the "Abalone Steak with Homemade Sauce." It is a masterpiece that combines the deep and luxurious seafood ingredient abalone with the chefs' creative spirit and artisanal technique. The liver of the abalone is like a lump of seaweed, and is rich in not only the flavor of the seashore but also the minerals of the seaweed. The liver is strained and slowly cooked without any chemical seasonings to make a sauce. The flesh is sautéed in butter, and what stands out here is the degree of doneness that only a craftsman can achieve. The essence of Hamanoyu cuisine is the determination to cook abalone without compromising its texture and flavor. Do not think that abalone is tough, Hamanoyu abalone has a soft texture and flavor.
The Abalone Steak with Homemade Liver Sauce, which the head chef created with the hope that "you will enjoy the exquisite texture and flavor of the liver," is also delicious.
The food is arranged exactly as the inn's name suggests, "an inn where you can eat." This also gives a glimpse of the pride of the inn, which continues to pursue only authentic cuisine.
