Otanisanso offers a relaxing time amidst the scenery woven by the rich nature of Nagato, including the lush green mountains and the Otozure River. There are 23 types of guest rooms in total. There are 10 types of suites with 5 views of the mountain side, river side, stream side, garden side, and riverside, which can be called a space of coexistence with nature, and 21 suites with open-air baths with natural spring water. On the garden side, there are two "Otanisanso Suites" that opened in July 2023, and one "Garden Junior Suite" on the top floor. The Otanisanso Suite is the largest of the rooms with open-air baths, with an area of 120 m2, and is the only one where you can enjoy a self-loyly sauna. The "environment for relaxation" is also perfect, with a cold bath and a terrace with a sofa for outdoor bathing. 20 "Akebono Premium" rooms on the river side have also been opened. It is a Japanese modern space that will set a new standard for accommodations. The room configuration makes you want to reserve each season.
The premium experience available only to suite room guests includes "Nagato Kaiseki cuisine" in a private dining venue and use of the club lounge.
Additionally, a private dining room has also been opened exclusively for suite guests, where guests can enjoy banquet cuisine. Nagato Yumoto is a treasure trove of seafood and mountain delicacies. For dinner, guests can enjoy the monthly Nagato banquet cuisine, which uses seasonal local ingredients and is based on the philosophy of Santo cuisine, which is to eat locally grown produce in the area using local cooking methods. In a modern atmosphere, guests can enjoy a blissful meal while communicating with the chef through each and every dish.
There are also many other dining options within the hotel. Teppanyaki restaurant "Nagato" is popular for its exquisite nine-course dinner, which features Yamaguchi Prefecture black wagyu beef sirloin or fillet spiny lobster as the main course, along with local ingredients such as Nagato tiger pufferfish and abalone. After your meal, why not enjoy live singing and guitar performances by band members in the lobby lounge?
The healing baths are the "Babbling Bath" where the sound of the river is soothing, and the "Komorebi Bath" where sunlight shines in gently. You can enjoy the two different baths on a rotating basis. The hot spring water has been flowing since the Muromachi period and is known for its beauty-enhancing properties. Bathing in the 11 baths, including the indoor bath, cypress open-air bath, rock open-air bath, jacuzzi bath, and reclining bath, will leave your skin feeling moisturized.
"Seragi no Yu" open-air cypress bath. Leaves rustling in the breeze and the scent of cypress fill your senses.
During your stay, you will have plenty to enjoy, including works from the traditional culture of Nagato Yumoto, "Hagi-yaki Fukagawa Kiln," a corner displaying works by children's song poet Misuzu Kaneko, and an astronomical dome equipped with a full-scale telescope. There is also a plan that allows you to enjoy the local outdoor bath "Onyu" exclusively. On the rooftop, there is a terrace where you can feel the rich nature with your whole body. It is also noteworthy that the environment has been developed to allow you to come into contact with nature with your whole body.
