Enjoy the superbly aged hot spring water that bubbles up from ancient stratum in a free-flowing "spring water" bath.
Progressive facilities such as villas built in the Momoyama period were also built one after another.

"Aged hot spring" and "raw hot spring." Both are unique names for the four private hot springs that Matsunoi , an Gensen Yunoyado , has registered as trademarks. At Matsunoi, you can enjoy mineral-rich alkaline simple springs that have slowly seeped and matured over many years in the limestone strata. They have a variety of benefits, including making your skin beautiful and preventing cell aging. At Matsunoi, these mature hot springs are poured freely into the two large baths, three open-air baths, and five private baths as "spring water" that bubbles up from the bottom of the baths to avoid contact with the air. In other words, they are raw hot springs, genuine hot springs, that can be said to flow directly from the source.
The Meguriyu Corridor that surrounds the 167,000m2 Japanese garden, Kashoen, includes the Hotaru-akari no Yu bath, where lights that resemble fireflies flicker on and off in the stream that runs through the garden, the large open-air bath Hi-akari no Yu, where you can view the colors of the seasons, the large public bath Tsuki-akari no Yu, and a private open-air bath, allowing you to take in the relaxing atmosphere of the garden that plays out with the charms of the seasons as you bathe.
The open-air bath "Hiakari no Yu" offers a luxurious experience while gazing at the garden. Feel the healing power of the free-flowing hot spring water bubbling up from under your feet.
There are a wide variety of guest rooms to choose from, including Zuiunro, Zuisenro, Zuihoro, and Zuitenro, as well as rooms with open-air baths with natural hot spring water, but in 2023 a seven-room villa called Shiki no Yuyado Momoyamaryu will open. The renovated space, a long-established inn built in the Momoyama architectural style, combines a sleek and modern atmosphere with wide bedrooms and semi-open-air baths, and is popular for its great location overlooking Mount Tanigawa and the Tone River.

The food is also impressive. Matsunoi is renowned for its diverse menu of "selected fresh foods" that are carefully selected from production areas and producers, with the president himself focusing on food safety and security. With reliable ingredients and skilled chefs, they turn the food into delicious dishes. The sushi made with "wild bluefin tuna" delivered directly from Toyosu Market is exquisite. It is a delicacy that can be said to be the symbol of Matsunoi's food.
The face-to-face stage kitchen, which was created after a major renovation in 2021, offers freshly prepared dishes by Japanese, Western, and Chinese head chefs with a live feel. The Japanese cuisine is an original kaiseki meal made with "Joushu beef" raised in the natural environment of Joshu, fresh vegetables from the restaurant's own farm and locally grown vegetables, and fresh seafood delivered directly from trusted fishing ports such as Choshi and Niigata.
At the Matsunoi buffet, you can enjoy a diverse menu of fresh, locally selected foods, with chefs preparing delicious dishes using seasonal local ingredients in a live cooking session.
In addition, "Shokusai no Eki M Forest," which has a wood-fired oven restaurant and a direct sales store for agricultural products, offers a takeaway menu that can be enjoyed while walking and taking in the scenery. With its meticulous hospitality and boldly conceived facilities and service development, this is an inn to keep an eye on.
"M forest" is a roadside shop that opened in April 2022. It offers souvenirs and takeout menus.
