A high-quality relaxing and healing time is promised for two adults, in a true Japanese setting. Looking out from the lounge lobby, you can see the pines, the sea and the sky. The garden "Yushi" is beautifully situated, based on the national treasure "Pine Forest Screen", a masterpiece by Hasegawa Tohaku, a painter from Nanao. In one corner of the garden is the teahouse "Tokuryoan". Part of a teahouse built at the end of the Edo period as a place for Princess Iwahime, the fourth daughter of Lord Yoshiyasu, the 14th lord of the Maeda clan, to learn etiquette has been relocated here. You will be overwhelmed by the aesthetic sense of Kaga.
Also known as "an inn where you can stay at a museum." Traditional crafts such as Wajima lacquerware and Kutani ware are scattered throughout the space. Lustrous bowls are also displayed on the large pillars. Shuumei is the museum of the late Kado Isaburou, a craftsman from Wajima. He is said to be "a man who created modern lacquerware while pursuing the origins of lacquerware," and it is said that it is impossible to look down on modern lacquerware without the great mountain that is Kado Isaburou. His representative works, such as the Goroku bowls, Hegi boards, O-ju, the recreated workshop, the Chinkin panels and calligraphy, are masterpieces that were born from interacting with Wajima's craftsmen, and the creative world, giving a glimpse into the depth of the culture that this place has cultivated.
A formal shoin tea room in the garden. The coffered ceiling painted with the Maeda family crest, the phoenix, the bell-shaped firelight window, and the woven dragon design on a single board of the tokonoma ceiling all evoke the atmosphere of the past.
