The spring at an altitude of 1,800m has a flow rate of 5.4 million liters per day and is known for its 27 health benefits.
One of the most acidic sulfur springs in Japan.
Located in a volcanic highland area over 1,800 meters above sea level, Manza Onsen is the longest-lived hot spring in the Orient and is comparable to the world's three longest-lived villages. The acidic sulfur spring that gushes out on the grounds of Nisshinkan has one of the highest sulfur concentrations in Japan, a spring temperature of about 80 degrees, and a daily flow of 5.4 million liters. "A huge amount of spring water gushes out from the surface without the need for drilling," the inn boasts. The high temperature and 27 benefits of this natural hot spring are amazingly effective against physical ailments and various diseases. "If you were to compare it to a supplement, it's like a multivitamin," says the hot spring sommelier. The inn hopes to improve the body's resistance and immunity. Spending time at high altitude not only activates the metabolism of cells, but also increases the appetite and improves the body's natural healing powers when combined with the benefits of the hot spring, which has excellent quality. Nisshinkan offers a new type of hot spring therapy stay that combines this wonderful hot spring with meals, entertainment, and early morning walks in the great outdoors.
Located in the modern new wing, "Yubo," is the "Manten no Yu" hot spring bath, available exclusively to guests. It is the newest bathhouse in Nisshinkan, made entirely of cypress wood.
The "Kyu" bath at "Choju no Yu" has six different types of baths, and is the largest bathtub at Nisshinkan, made entirely of natural wood.
Enjoy the spectacular view from the open-air observation bath "Gokuraku-yu" and feel like you're in paradise.
There are three baths made with natural wood. The one you'll want to jump in to first is the open-air observation bath "Gokuraku-yu," also known as the "open-air bath under the stars at an altitude of 1,800 meters." It's truly paradise. The powerful milky white water and the scent of sulfur are deeply soothing. If you soak in it and look out, you'll see the magnificent view of Manza. You'll want to soak in it again and again, whether it's at dusk, in the moonlight or starlit nights, or early in the morning. In the large bath "Choju-no-yu," you can enjoy the Oba-yu bath, which is 100% natural hot spring water, the Kuyu bath that can be used by large groups, the Taki-yu bath, and the Shin-yu bath that is spring water from the mountains. If you add the private bath "Enman-no-yu" with water from the source and the panoramic bath "Manten-no-yu" in the new building, which is equipped with modern guest rooms and made of natural cypress, you will have a particularly satisfying hot spring tour.
Meals are served buffet style. Dinner is a balanced menu of over 40 Japanese, Western and Chinese dishes with an emphasis on "Magowayasashii," while breakfast is a healthy menu of over 30 Japanese and Western dishes with the motto "Sukoyakadayo." A free live cultural performance from 8pm will invigorate your mind. Be sure to also take an early morning walk from 6am, guided by a famous guide. If you use the Hokuriku Shinkansen, you can take a free shuttle bus (round trip, runs daily) from Karuizawa straight to the inn. A hot spring that will make you healthy awaits you.
Both dinner and breakfast are buffet style (one example). The Chinese food served at dinner is prepared by a chef from China.
