Kasuien is a traditional Japanese inn where you can enjoy the "divine hot spring" that has been flowing for 1,300 years. The unique facilities and hospitality that were born from a major renovation in 2023 are attracting attention.
The "Yasakani no Magatama," one of the "Three Sacred Treasures" that symbolize the Imperial Throne, is made from blue agate found on Mount Hanasen in Tamazukuri. Its shape resembles the sun and moon overlapping, and it is said that by wearing it around one's neck on a string, one can connect with one's ancestors and receive the blessings of spiritual power.
Minami Uruwashi Resort, consisting of the open-air observation bath "Tenyu no Yu" on the ninth floor of the West Wing and "Minami Garden" on the first floor, is based on the concept of a worldview where "the power of history, the power of hot springs, and the power of healing" overlap, based on the image of the power of the magatama. The power of history is the love for ancestors, and the spirit of service with the family motto "Be the host with the guest's heart in mind." The power of hot springs is the love for the "hot springs of the gods and hot springs for beautiful skin" of Izumo-Tamazukuri, where the gods gather. The power of healing means the release and recovery of the mind and body.
You can enjoy the high-quality "divine bath" in the open-air bath bathed in sunlight filtering through the trees.
Minami Premium Club "Tenchi" was named after "Ametsuchi" (heaven and earth) from the Kojiki, in the hope that many people would gather there, just like in the month of the gods when many gods gathered.
In particular, the "Uruwashi Garden" on the first floor is garnering attention for its conceptual facilities and hospitality, including the "Minami Premium Club Tenchi," where only guests who have booked the premium plan can have fun; the "Beauty Salon A-Nyo," where women-only guests can experience healing experiences such as "rock sauna" and "mugwort steaming," and the "Stay Lounge Kosubarucha," which offers the culture of tea ceremony, which was popularized by Matsudaira Fumai, the seventh lord of the Matsue domain, and a gallery of the Minami collection. The large public baths for men and women are filled with divine hot spring water, which has been scientifically proven to have beautiful skin and health benefits.
"Toki no Yadori Floor Ten Yura" is a guest room where you can experience health and healing. Just by lying down on the healing couch, you can experience the effects of a bedrock bath.
The guest rooms are also an innovative venture. Newly opened in 2023 in the west wing, Tokino Yadori Ama Yura, are rooms equipped with healing couches with the effect of a rock sauna, as well as rooms with foot massagers, facial massagers and mist saunas, and premium rooms with open-air baths with natural hot spring water. Kita no Yakata also has many rooms where you can enjoy the divine hot spring water directly from the source, making for a relaxing stay. As part of efforts to achieve the SDGs, an amenity selection corner has also been set up.
The newly renovated Gosai no Yadori Hiten has comfortable Japanese-style beds to ensure a good night's sleep.
Sanin is blessed with the bounty of the Sea of Japan. For dinner, enjoy a variety of seasonal flavors using secret recipes handed down from the long-established inn "Minami." For breakfast, enjoy a buffet of more than 50 Japanese and Western delicacies, including clam soup from Lake Shinji and freshly cooked Nita rice. The dining area is packed with gourmet food, and you can expect it to be at a long-established inn.
