INDEX
This world-renowned resort is a private, luxurious space where the extraordinary coexists with nature.
Bettei Senjuan that is a member of Relais & Chateaux and has been recognized worldwide. Its appearance, which combines excellent modern and traditional techniques, such as its 8m-high curved corridor, kumiko shoji screens and Edo suminagashi walls, and stainless steel woven tatami floors, has been highly praised, and it has won the World Luxury Hotel Awards, known as the Oscars of the travel industry. It is also a hotel that has received the international eco-label Green Key, and is highly conscious of environmental conservation, with efforts being made to coexist with nature everywhere.
There are only 18 guest rooms in the 1,300m2 building, all of which are modern, private spaces with their own open-air baths fed by natural hot spring water. From special rooms with bedrock baths to semi-special rooms with TVs in the open-air baths, rooms close to the clear streams of the valley, rooms overlooking the forest, rooms with open terraces, and barrier-free rooms, the elaborate spaces compete for an extraordinary experience. The luxurious rooms are equipped with mini kitchens, high-quality amenities, and even binoculars for bird watching, providing comfort and a connection with nature.
Inside, you can relax in luxury as your heart desires. The hot spring is a hypotonic, weakly alkaline spring that is gentle on the skin. The hotel's open-air baths include "Suzumushi no Yu," which gives the feeling of forest bathing, and "Hotaru no Yu," where the valley breeze blows through. They also have excellent healing effects. The large communal bath is equipped with a self-loyly sauna and a low-temperature mist sauna, which will help you recover. You can also enjoy high-quality, soothing beauty treatments that add the effects of hot springs that you can't experience in the city.
The creative Japanese cuisine, which is a work of art, is unique to Relais & Châteaux hotels.
Dinner is creative Japanese cuisine made with the finest ingredients, mainly from Gunma Prefecture, such as mountain and river delicacies and Joshu beef, using traditional yet modern cooking methods. The vibrant presentation and tableware used are also eye-catching. A true work of art in taste. Wine and local sake requests can also be accommodated. The space in which to enjoy your meal is also very private. Seats are provided in unique dining areas, including sunken kotatsu tables and ones with skylights.
As you go back and forth between the natural and extraordinary territories, you will soon find yourself creating your own unique resort time.
