Yumura Onsen is home to some of Japan's best hot springs. 430 liters of 98.4 degree hot spring water flows naturally from the Asanoya's five private hot springs every minute. At Asanoya, the natural hot spring water is not diluted with water, but is gradually cooled in four tanks and then poured into every room in the entire hotel. "All rooms in the entire hotel have natural hot spring water, so just turn on the tap and you'll have natural hot spring water." This statement is not false. The spring quality is sodium bicarbonate chloride sulfate spring. The water is excellent for skin-beautifying ingredients, with a "sparkling, warm, bouncy" feel that dissolves oily substances clogging pores, whitens the skin, keeps the skin moisturized, and improves blood circulation.
The baths are equipped with a large bath and an open-air bath, and can be enjoyed on a rotation basis in the "Hikoboshi" and "Orihime" baths. The open-air baths, where you can enjoy this outstanding hot spring with a sense of openness, are irresistible. The open-air bath in "Hikoboshi" is eye-catching with its large waterwheel, while "Orihime" has a waterfall that falls from a height of 7 meters... The bathtub carved out of a 1,200-year-old cypress tree is also particularly appealing.
The indoor bath has a refreshing cypress scent, and you can stretch your arms and legs out and relax. Under the open-air bath is the low-temperature sauna "Yumechiyo-do" that uses geothermal energy. Even at a room temperature of 50-60 degrees, you can expect to sweat a lot, and even if you use it for a long time, you won't feel stuffy like you would in a dry sauna, and it won't damage your skin or hair, so you can use it with peace of mind.
The perfect hideaway for adults to relax in the hot springs: 5 rooms in the New Asanoya style
The most popular rooms are those with open-air baths, and include a Western-style room with a queen bed, a Western-style room, two Japanese-style rooms, a Japanese-Western room, a special Japanese-style room, and a Japanese-style VIP room. In April 2023, the "New Asanoya Style Yukomori," an adult hideaway, will open, with an open-air bath. There are three Japanese-Western suite rooms of approximately 90 m², one executive Japanese-Western room of approximately 70 m², and one deluxe twin room of approximately 45 m². All rooms have in-room dining in the adjacent dining room, and the rooms are equipped with large smart TVs and the latest smart tables, making them the perfect space for seclusion.

Dinner is made with care and served in a private dining room with chairs and tables, where you can enjoy seasonal Japanese-style banquet cuisine "served at its most delicious." If fresh ingredients are available, not only will they change the menu to create a gourmet meal, but they also offer "cooking at your table," where the food is prepared and cooked right in front of you. The location is close to the Sea of Japan. For the winter king of snow crab, the head chef goes to Hamasaka Fishing Port, which has the highest landing rate in Japan, and purchases the highest quality brand crab.

The hospitality of the Asanoya is a reflection of their love for Japanese culture. They have learned the spirit of a once-in-a-lifetime encounter from the three arts of tea ceremony, flower arrangement, and incense-smelling. Upon arrival, they are greeted with a warm welcome and the thoughtfulness of matcha to soothe and relax them. The aroma of freshly burned incense fills the air throughout the building. Sencha, hojicha, and genmaicha are available in the guest rooms... A journey that flows effortlessly and leads to the tranquility of Japan. Not only is the hot springs appealing, but the hospitality that lives on in this Japanese inn is deeply soothing.
