Hokumon Yashiki in Hagi, Yamaguchi Prefecture, is the only lodging located within the World Heritage Site of Hagi Castle Town, located on the site of the Yoshiki Mori family residence, a branch of the Mori clan, in the Sannomaru section of Hagi Castle, where the senior vassals who guarded the castle once lived.
Surrounded by the sea and mountains, Hagi is blessed with an abundance of fresh produce from the Sea of Japan, including tilefish in spring, horse mackerel in the currents, sea urchin, abalone, and fugu in winter, as well as the brand Mutsumi pork and Nagahagi Wagyu beef.
