The open-air bath at Shuhokaku Kogetsu offers a once-in-a-lifetime view of Mount Fuji
Mount Fuji shows different faces throughout the seasons

Shuhokaku Kogetsu, located on the northern shore of Lake Kawaguchiko, boasts a superb location with a symmetrical view of Mount Fuji's ridgeline from all rooms and open-air baths. Mount Fuji, blanketed in snow from late autumn to spring, cherry blossoms in spring, and autumn leaves in autumn, is a sight you'll want to etch into your memory. If the conditions are right, you might even be able to see an upside-down version of Mount Fuji appearing on the lake's surface.

The men's open-air bath "Black Fuji" and the women's open-air bath "Red Fuji" both offer spectacular views of Lake Kawaguchiko directly in front of them and Mount Fuji beyond.

The men's large public bath, Fujizakura, is equipped with a sauna bath. The women's large public bath, Otomezakura, is equipped with a steam sauna, and the changing room is equipped with a powder room and tatami mats that can be used for changing small children, providing a complete range of amenities. Both baths offer an unobstructed view of the majestic Mount Fuji beyond the glass. A beauty salon is also available, allowing you to enjoy the ultimate in relaxation.

Enjoy a foot bath and have the magnificent view of Mt. Fuji all to yourself

On the second floor, there is a room with a foot bath where you can enjoy the hot springs in a private space while looking out at Mt. Fuji, as well as a room with both a foot bath and an open-air bath.

All of the baths and footbaths in the hotel use natural hot spring water, which is said to be effective for various ailments such as neuralgia, muscle pain, and joint pain. The spring water is calcium, sodium, sulfate, and chloride hot spring water (low-temperature, alkaline, high-temperature hot spring water).

On March 1, 2023, the four guest rooms on the third floor with open-air hot spring baths will be renovated. The beds have been replaced with beds, and guests can now enjoy in-room meals at a dining table rather than on tatami mats. The newly renovated garden terrace, "Suigetsu Footbath Terrace with Mount Fuji View," offers a symmetrical view of Mount Fuji across Lake Kawaguchiko, with its inverted reflection on the lake's surface. Enjoy the luxurious experience of having Mount Fuji all to yourself while savoring the chef's carefully selected kaiseki cuisine, made with fresh seasonal ingredients, and you're sure to create an unforgettable memory.
