Kintarou Onsen was ranked 94th in the 37th "Top 100 Hot Springs in Japan". It is a sulfur-containing sodium and calcium chloride spring that was discovered about 1000m underground in 1965, and is a rare mixture of salt and sulfur springs in Japan. The water is around 75 degrees and is well-known for its high mineral content and efficacy.
Kintarou Onsen Day Spa Karuna no Yakata is famous for its Tateyama Mountain Range Panoramic Large Bath and Garden Open-Air Bath, which use famous stones and unusual stones collected from all over Japan.
