Enjoy the most spectacular view of Shonai as the sunset shines from your room or in the hot springs.
A holiday bathed in the colours of the Sea of Japan is packed with fun.
As the Sea of Japan begins to take on a sunset glow, Hakusan Island emerges as a jet black silhouette beyond Yura Coast. It is the most spectacular view in Shonai. The gently curving Yura Coast is a scenic spot that has been selected as one of the "100 Best Beaches in Japan" and "100 Best Sunsets in Japan." Hakusan Island, also known as the Enoshima of Tohoku, is home to the legend of eight maidens, which is the origin of the name Yaotome.
Yura Beach was selected as one of the "100 Best Swimming Beaches in Japan." In the summer, there are plenty of fun activities to enjoy, including the beach, ocean fishing, catching sea crabs, and beach seine fishing. It's truly a different world by the sea.
The beautiful guest rooms exude a distinctly Japanese atmosphere, and all have views of the Sea of Japan. The West Wing has 16-tatami Japanese-style rooms and Japanese-Western rooms, while the East Wing has 10-tatami Japanese-style rooms, Japanese-Western bed types, and special rooms with open-air baths. The special rooms are high-grade spaces with a pure Japanese-style room, a wide veranda overlooking Hakusan Island, a twin bedroom with ocean views from two sides, and an open-air bath on the ocean side. The Japanese-Western rooms are also available in different layouts.
The open-air hot springs on the 3rd floor of the West Building and the East Building offer spectacular views of the ocean that change with the passing of time. With an abundance of hot water, you can bathe while feeling the ocean breeze.
The rooftop will feature the "Sky Plaza," an open space where you can listen to the sounds of the waves during the day and gaze at the stars at night.
The attraction is the food
The Shonai coast, where cold and warm currents collide, is a treasure trove of seafood. A wide variety of seafood is caught, from cherry salmon and flatfish in the spring, to squid, turban shells, and abalone in the summer, flounder and sandfish in the fall, and monkfish and winter cod in the winter.
For dinner, you can enjoy a seafood meal with a huge serving of seafood delivered directly from Yura Port, one of the leading ports in Shonai. It is a very fresh and hearty meal that you will not be able to finish. There are also seasonal taste plans that allow you to enjoy the freshest seafood, as well as menus created by the local women of the beach. During the meal, it is also memorable to see the landlady visiting each table and greeting the guests. You can really feel the passion of the inn.
For breakfast, you can enjoy a leisurely buffet at the venue "Nihonkai", which can accommodate 200 people.
