Enjoy the free-flowing hot spring water from the Yubatake source in baths and guest rooms with varying water temperatures.
The "four types of delightful kaiseki meals at four different dining establishments" also received applause!
The Yubatake hot spring source is considered the finest in Kusatsu. Takamatsu, located about a 4-minute walk from the Yubatake, directly draws in the Yubatake spring water and uses it to continuously flow into the large public baths and open-air baths. That's why you can enjoy "fresh hot spring water" anytime.
The large public bath "Megumi" offers guests the opportunity to enjoy the natural hot spring water in three different baths: lukewarm, moderately hot, and hot. The large public bath "Izumi" boasts a spacious and open atmosphere. Both baths also feature open-air baths made of cypress wood and ceramics on wooden decks, allowing guests to fully experience the benefits of free-flowing hot spring water. Two private baths, themed after gardens, are also available for use in the morning and evening.
While the premium rooms on the upper floors offering views of Ura-Kusatsu and the surrounding mountains, and the semi-suite Japanese-Western style rooms where guests can enjoy the hot springs without leaving their rooms, are popular choices, two new extraordinary rooms, "Tenkyu" and "Shugyoku," were introduced in 2023. These rooms feature a semi-open-air bath with free-flowing hot spring water, a sauna, and a cold plunge pool. The "totonobin" effect on both mind and body is exceptional. These are spaces with amenities that make you want to stay for multiple nights to fully enjoy them.

A premium guest room that opened in 2023. "Tenkyu" features a semi-open-air bath, sauna, cold bath, living room, and bedroom.
In 2024, the lobby floor was renovated. Guests can relax in the newly refurbished lounge with a complimentary drink service (4 PM to 6 PM). The second floor, which also includes a PC corner, microwave, and ice maker, features a newly added terrace seating area, creating an open and relaxing travel experience.
The attraction is the food
Takamatsu offers exceptionally exquisite cuisine in a variety of dining spaces, based on the concept of "four types of delightful kaiseki meals at four different dining venues."
At the restaurant "Kiwami," you can find a variety of dishes that will impress even the most discerning gourmets, including hot pot made with the finest, carefully selected Joshu Wagyu beef, sashimi of locally sourced trout and seafood, sautéed Chateaubriand and foie gras, a main course with truffles, and specially selected nigiri sushi.
At "Shunsai Nabeya Kirakutei," which features an open kitchen, you can enjoy the ultimate cuisine centered around ingredients from Gunma Prefecture, such as Joshu Wagyu beef, served in sukiyaki and shabu-shabu. You can also enjoy a special menu that changes monthly in the privacy of your room.
On the top floor is the "Main Dining Room Kibouhou," which also serves as the breakfast venue. Guests can enjoy a monthly changing kaiseki (traditional multi-course) meal and a half-buffet.
Just a one-minute walk away is the new building, "Waeru Yado Takamatsu." Based on the concept of "blending Japanese and Western styles," all rooms are Japanese modern spaces with balconies and feature three types of rooms equipped with Simmons beds, including rooms with open-air baths supplied with hot spring water from Yubatake Onsen. The hotel also offers a large public bath and open-air bath where you can enjoy the natural hot spring water, a bedrock bath, a sauna, a half-buffet restaurant with freshly baked bread, a free-to-use computer corner, and a cafe lounge with free drinks, allowing guests to enjoy themselves at their leisure.
