This is the perfect way to spend your time at Ryokan Tanigawa. The staff will welcome you with a heartfelt smile. Your carefree holiday will begin surrounded by a relaxing warmth.
Among the many guest rooms available, there are new rooms that pursue modern luxury as well as functional rooms where you can enjoy videos using a projector, but the most recommended are the rooms with open-air baths that have natural hot spring water.
The bath is filled with clean, high-quality "Mountain Water." The medicinal bath has over 20 different effects, making it ideal for maintaining the body. It also melts away accumulated stress.
The modern and luxurious "New Japanese Modern Bed Room (King Bed)" was newly installed in 2019. You can enjoy TV and Blu-ray on a large screen by projecting it onto the wall with a projector. This is a recommended space for luxurious solo travelers.
For dinner, enjoy creative cuisine made with locally produced ingredients in the restaurant.
There are various seasonal and local ingredients, and local flavors. You can eat while feeling like you're back home. You can also request the "Meat All-You-Can-Eat Plan" which has Joshu beef, Joshu wheat pork, and Joshu chicken steaks as the main course instead of sashimi and trout.
Breakfast is served at a half-buffet venue that was newly opened in 2022, where guests can enjoy freshly cooked Minakami Koshihikari rice, grilled fish, homemade tofu, and several types of small side dishes.
Temari Chaya is a restaurant with distinctive walls made of rock salt and charcoal. It is a restaurant for 1-2 people.

The attraction is the facilities
The hot springs where you can enjoy the mountain baths include separate open-air baths for men and women and an indoor bath made of cypress. The open-air baths have a deep feel with their Sanba stone tubs, and you can enjoy the hot springs to the fullest, with plenty of hot water flowing freely from the source and rustic atmosphere. The seasonal atmosphere and natural breeze are also pleasant. The temperature of the source is a little high. It relieves fatigue and warms the body from the inside out.
For a fee, you can enjoy local sake and ice cream in the baths until 9 pm, a very welcome service that can only be found at a hot spring inn.
There is also a foot bath with a stream flowing in the garden, and you can enjoy a foot massage in the walking bath. After the bath, you can take a break in the "clear water of Minakami". Before returning to your room, you can stop by the mini gallery of Dazai Osamu, who is associated with the inn, or the lounge, which serves delicious cold-brewed coffee. The warmth of this home-like atmosphere will deeply soothe your soul.
A cafe lounge that opened in 2022. You can enjoy old-fashioned siphon coffee and cold-brewed coffee.
