The majestic Hibiki Valley can be seen from the reclining bath in the large open-air bath "Ryokuho." In the clear air, the morning mist flows quietly between the mountains.

The villa "Oushuku" offers a view of the Hibiki Valley from all rooms. There are three types: Suite, Semi-Suite, and Deluxe. The photo shows the "Oushuku Suite."Umehibiki was also rated as "particularly attractive facility, highest level of comfort" in the Michelin Guide Kumamoto/Oita 2018 Special Edition.

Oyama Town, located in the inner sanctum of Hita, is one of Kyushu's leading plum producing areas, overlooking the spectacular beauty of the Hibiki Valley. Okuhita Onsen Umehibiki was established in 2017 in this satoyama area.
The concept is "a hot spring filled with plums." The facility and hospitality allow you to feel the atmosphere of the plum village everywhere while enjoying the spectacular view of Hibiki Valley, and it has become very popular.
The magical color of the sky as the sun sets at dusk. Or the morning mist gently drifting through the clear air of early morning... A scene like another world flows through Hibiki Valley. The best seats to view this magnificent view are the reclining baths and open-air baths at the large hot spring bath, Ryokuho. You can experience a state of ecstasy for a while.
All guest rooms offer a valley view. There are a variety of types of rooms, all based on the theme of "dignified and adorable." The villa "Oushuku" incorporates modern design into tradition, and is a space where you can gaze out at the fantastic beauty of the valley from the indoor jacuzzi bath and open-air bath. The main building's Japanese-Western style guest room "Nantaka," with an open-air bath and bedroom and furniture featuring an impressive large plum motif, is also a space that gives you the feeling of Mt. Daisen, the home of plum blossoms.
A detached building is also an option. "Ryukyo" is a spacious suite consisting of two rooms. It has an open-air bath overlooking the Hibiki Valley and an indoor Jacuzzi bath, and promises a private stay surrounded by tranquility.

The attraction is the sauna
"Sauna Lounge Benitsuru" opens exclusively for guests

In July 2024, the "Sauna Lounge Benitsuru" will open exclusively for guests, with the concept of "a sauna lounge where your mind and body dance." There are three different types of rooms, which can be used exclusively from check-in to check-out. (*Charged, first-come, first-served, excluding some time slots)
Each room is equipped with a private sauna where you can enjoy self-loyly, a cold water bath that uses the pure underground water of the water town of Hita, a lounge space equipped with a sound bar, TV, various drinks and food, sofas, etc., and a terrace where you can enjoy an open-air bath while looking out at the Hibiki Valley. Sauna hats and sauna ponchos are also provided.
In the sauna room, you can adjust the temperature and enjoy music via Bluetooth connection. After a good sweat, you can soak in the refreshing water bath and be soothed by the breeze blowing across the valley and the beauty of the valley, which will rejuvenate your mind and body. Please give it a try!

The attraction is the food
A health meal that starts with plum wine, a specialty of Ume no Sato

For dinner, enjoy the "Umehibiki Kaiseki" meal, which uses local ingredients and is good for the body and mind. For aperitifs, try two types of plum wine produced by "Umeshugura Oyama," which is highly acclaimed both in Japan and overseas.
For breakfast, you can recharge your energy with a wide variety of dishes and rice cooked in a pot that you can enjoy until it is scorched. After the meal, you can enjoy tea time on the "Asamoya Terrace" where you can feel the breath of the valley.
