"Uguisu no Yu" is a super deep water hot spring that springs from a stratum that is 360 million years old.
Take a bath in this one-of-a-kind hot spring that changes color to emerald green.

The only hot spring in Japan that springs up at the foot of Mt. Yakedake is the super deep water hot spring "Uguisu no Yu" at Okuhida Garden Hotel Yakedake. In Okuhida, where there are many hot springs, this is the only hotel that has a hot spring that changes to a mysterious emerald color. What's more, you can enjoy 100% free-flowing water from the source.
There are four springs. The amount of water is one ton per minute. It is a rare hot spring that was trapped in a stratum formed by the uplift of the seabed in the Devonian period about 360 million years ago. The bicarbonate spring, a representative beauty spring, removes old dead skin cells, and the chloride spring envelops the skin like a thin veil. It also contains about five times as much metasilicic acid, a beauty component, as a normal spring.
During your stay, you can try out 12 different baths. The most popular are the mixed-gender open-air bath "Uguisu-no-Yu" and the mixed-gender area with a waterfall bath and cave bath "Bakusendo". Free rental yuami (bath robes) are also available. Along the clear stream of Hirayu River, you can also enjoy "Tenno-Izumi", which features an open-air bath and two private open-air baths. In the separate areas for men and women, there is a 1.2m deep standing bath, a reclining bath, a cypress open-air bath, a rock bath, and an indoor bath with a rock sauna and Korean-style sauna, so you can enjoy yourself to the fullest and forget the passage of time.
After taking a bath, you can relax in a Japanese-style or Western-style room overlooking the natural beauty of the Northern Alps. After a short rest, your mind will be set on the hot springs again.

The specialty dish is "Hot spring steamed dish." The soft-shelled turtle that you enjoy in the hot pot is also grown 100% in the hot spring water. It is extremely nutritious.
For bespoke dishes, you can enjoy fresh caviar made from eggs of sturgeon raised in hot springs and underground water.
