"Hanayuzen" is a private dining room. An upgraded Japanese meal where you can enjoy the luxurious seafood and mountain delicacies that are unique to Iwate.

Mount Iwate, also known as the Front Fuji, reflects its gentle shape in Lake Gosho and changes in countless ways with the seasons and the dawn and dusk of each day. Hotel Shion is a Japanese-style resort located on the shores of Lake Gosho. The hotel offers an elegant and local experience with hospitality based on the magnificent views of the mountains and lake.
All guest rooms have mountain and lake views, and the scenery changes depending on the floor and room location, captivating everyone who comes to relax. So no matter which room you choose, it will be your "best seat for a spectacular view."
The "Premium Room" was created in 2023 and has only three rooms on the fourth floor. You can enjoy both the open-air bath and the indoor bath, both of which are 100% natural spring water, in one room. The room is 90 square meters and equipped with a smart lock. The facilities and services are special specifications. In the private dining room, you can enjoy kaiseki cuisine carefully prepared by the head chef. This is a highly recommended space.
The area is rich in ingredients, with Kitakami, Ouu, and the Sanriku coastline nearby. The inn will treat you to delicious, locally-sourced cuisine. We recommend the Nanbu Magariya Kaiseki course, which you can enjoy at your leisure in the dining hall. Depending on the season, snow crab and abalone may also be added to the plan. You can also enjoy the local flavors with the Japanese kaiseki Megumi Marugoto Gozen or the luxurious, upgraded Japanese meal Hanayuzen.

The spacious premium rooms are a step above the rest, and the new modern space is creating quite a buzz.

Akamatsu no Yu is an open-air bath with a magnificent octagonal wooden roof inside Nanbu Magariya no Yu. You can enjoy a luxurious time in the bathhouse that gives you a taste of Iwate, with the natural hot spring water flowing freely from the source.

The Silk Bath "Kinu no Yu" is reminiscent of a traditional Japanese-style room. Just soaking in the bathtub and gazing at Lake Gosho and Mt. Iwate has a healing and relaxing effect.

You can enjoy the high-temperature, abundant hot spring water that has been gushing out of this area since the Heian period at Hitorijime no Yu, a spectacular hot spring that includes a silk bath called Kinu no Yu and an open-air bath called Hinoki no Yu.
The water that envelops your skin is a simple spring with a pH of 8.7 to 9.5, a highly alkaline component, and contains metasilicic acid, a natural moisturizing component, making it a skin-beautifying bath. The Silk Bath in particular is popular for its "microscopic bubbles that cleanse and smoothen the skin." The "Cypress Bath" has an infinity feel. You can also enjoy the strange sensation of the water flowing into Lake Gosho.
The other hot spring is a new spring source that the inn discovered. The spring quality is alkaline simple spring. The hideaway-like "Nambu Magariya no Yu" is a place where you can enjoy the luxurious flowing water. The open-air bath "Akamatsu no Yu" with its octagonal wooden roof feels like a hidden hot spring at night. The rustic atmosphere of the open-air bath "Oiwa no Yu" is also irresistible. Private open-air baths are also available.
